If you’re deep into JDM history, few wheels carry more mythos than the NISMO LMGT1—and its younger, slightly more accessible sibling, the LMGT2. These weren’t just wheels. They were declarations. From Le Mans Dreams to Street Legends
The NISMO LM-GT1 wasn’t just about looks. Developed in collaboration with RAYS Engineering, it was purpose-built for the legendary NISMO 400R—a road-going homage to Nissan’s GT1 Le Mans effort in 1995–1996.
Only 44 NISMO 400Rs were ever made, and each came factory-equipped with 3-piece forged LM-GT1s.
Despite the name, LMGT1s never actually raced at Le Mans. Instead, they paid tribute to the campaign and were featured in NISMO’s rare Club Le Mans catalog. Their construction? Race-ready: forged, lightweight, aggressive—engineered to handle the RB-X GT2-powered madness of the 400R.
