Original LMGT1-inspired design, now available for more Nissan platforms than ever before.
At Icons Reimagined, our mission has always been to preserve the original character of iconic forged wheels while making them compatible with more cars and modern fitment requirements. One of our biggest developments has been expanding our outer lip options. And it's about much more than achieving a deeper lip.
Six Lip Widths. More Fitment Possibilities.
Our three-piece forged wheels can now be manufactured with six different outer lip depths:
1" | 1.5" | 2" | 2.5" | 3" | 3.5"
Each follows the distinctive original LMGT1-style lip profile.
Why is this important?
Many aftermarket manufacturers achieve different offsets by modifying the wheel face, sometimes significantly altering the proportions of the original design.
We prefer a different approach.
By combining different outer lip widths with corresponding inner barrels, we can achieve a wider range of offsets while preserving the original wheel-face design wherever possible. Instead of reshaping the face to fit the wheel, we work with the wheel's proportions. Naturally, brake clearance and other technical limitations still apply.
From Skyline GT-R to 300ZX and Silvia
This flexibility has allowed us to expand beyond the Nissan Skyline GT-R platform. Without additional lip and barrel configurations, offering our original-profile designs in suitable offsets for cars like the Nissan 300ZX Z32 and Silvia S-chassis would be considerably more difficult.
Different platforms require very different wheel specifications. An offset that works beautifully on an R32 GT-R may be completely unsuitable for an S15 Silvia. Our expanded manufacturing options now make it possible to develop configurations specifically for these cars without unnecessarily compromising the original design.
We've covered these platforms in more detail in our fitment guides:

- Nissan Silvia S14 & S15 — 18" Wheel Fitment Guide

Painted Wheels Are Now More Affordable
We've also refined our pricing structure. All painted wheel configurations now benefit from lower starting prices, while polished outer lips are offered as an optional upgrade. The polished finish requires additional manufacturing work, but the underlying forged construction and quality remain unchanged.
The final wheel price is determined by its size, two-piece or three-piece construction, lip configuration, finish, and selected extras. Stainless-steel assembly bolts are included as standard, while titanium hardware is available as an upgrade. Shipping is calculated separately.
You pay for the configuration you actually want.
The Right Wheel, Not Just the Deepest Lip
Our expanded lip selection also allows us to offer wider outer lips on selected configurations, sometimes without increasing the overall wheel width. But more lip isn't always better. The right balance between offset, brake clearance, and visual proportions remains essential.
More lip widths mean more offset possibilities. More offset possibilities mean more cars can benefit from the design we've worked so hard to preserve.
That's what reimagining an icon is all about.
